Overview
     The Polar Bear of Earth. A solitary creature with the strength and power to enforce its will over its domain. A bear that is so much like our beloved
Ghost Bear, no weaknesses.

     The Polar Bear OmniMech is a new Omni design by the Ghost Bears. This 'Mech is designed along the same lines as the Ghost Bear OmniMech with
increased survivability from the inclusion of a standard fusion engine. Even though significant weight can be saved with a XL engine, the designers deamed it unnecessary and to risky for this 'Mech. It was decided to incorporate both Endo-Steel and Ferro-Fiberous armor into the design to allow more armor protection and free up weight for a larger offensive arsenal. In keeping with this Omni's namesake for independant operations, most variants invlude a wide range of special electronics, with almost every variant having a ECM suite and the new Light Active Probe.


Capabilities
    This OmniMech is designed to replace the Timber Wolf in Ghost Bear Galaxies. It addresses on of the basic flaws in most heavy designs, the need
for advanced electronic support on the battlefield. Almost every variant is equipped with a ECM suite and a Light Active Probe. With this Omni included
into all assault and battle stars it gives the star a better survival chance without having to reduce the firepower with the inclusion of a much lighter
'Mech. Once again the designers have places a standard fusion engine in a new design. This has been offset by including both endo-steel and ferro fiberous armor. While both of these systems do reduce internal space, it was not a critical issue that reduced the designs efficiency.


Variants
     The Prime variant is the most popular. It wide variety and range of weapons make it a skilled fighter at all ranges. It also is the only variant
with a complete electronics suite, including Light TAG, Light Active Probe and a ECM suite. This variant is a welcome addition to any star.

     The Alpha variant is a long to medium range fighter. With the inclusion of a targeting computer for its energy weapons and two LRM/20 w/Artemis this
variant can cause considerable damage to any other 'Mech before it enemy can close to its effective range.

     The Bravo variant is a close in fighter, designed to root out its enemies in urban and rough terrain, then destroy them. The Ultra Autocannon, four ER Medium Lasers and three SRM/6 Streak racks make this machine idealy suited and deadly at its job.

     The Charlie variant is another long range fighter designed to lay down deadly accurate fire in extended campaigns. Its purely energy based arsenal
are guaranteed to make this variant a threat on the battlefield and allow it to keep pressure on enemy forced. With its two Large Pulse Lasers and one ER
Large Laser linked to the targeting computer, this variant is viciously accurate. Once this variant has closed to its optimal range it will then add its four Medium Pulse Lasers to the barrage, forcing even the most determined enemy to retreat of be destroyed. It should be noted this is the only variant that lacks a ECM suite.

     The Delta variant is the second most popular design. Like the Prime, it contains a large variety of weaponry that gets deadlier as the 'Mech closes
range. Included on this variant is the new Advanced Tactical Missile system. These missiles, along with the ER Large and Medium Lasers, will rip holes into
an enemy 'Mechs armor. Then the LB 20-X will exploit these breached and wreck the enemys internals. Another truely deadly variant at any range.
