Overview
     The Illusion is the newest OmniMech off the drawing board of Nathan Kerensky. Fast, heavily armored, and packing a wide assortment of weapons, it could be called the "perfect" scout. Moving at an unprecedented 119 kph, it can easily move in, reach it's objective, and get out. If it must deal with enemies along the way, it's own Ferro-Fibrous armor and weapons can deal out and take enough punishment to insure it's safety.

     The sleek design of the ‘Mech is what allows for it's high speeds. The torso is shaped in the front so when jumping, it acts almost as a wing, increasing distance. Sheets of reinforced nylon between the arms and torso can be spread out when jumping, also, letting the ‘Mech glide a short distance. These sheets are also interwoven with coolant tubes, letting the ‘Mech dissipate the extra heat it generates while jumping.

     The only two that have been able to master the specialized jumping movement thus far are Khan Phelan Kell and Star Colonel Jordan Ward. These two excellent pilots have mastered the technique of gliding 30 tons of steel and composites through the air. The complexities of controlling a gliding ‘Mech are boundless.

     The name Illusion comes from the fact that the 'Mech is not what it looks like. Seemingly a small, fragile machine, it packs a surprising bite. It's mobility and firepower caused one tech to glorify the prototype as a "Mirage" because it never appeared to be what it really was.

     The 'Mech is being tested as we speak, and should be off the lines of Wolf Metal Works in the next year. Full service is expected to begin with 3 years.
