Overview
As the FedCom Civil War was in full swing, weapons production increased to unprecedented levels, sometimes causing huge stockpiles of unused weapons to remain in stores for years as the front lines brought a new master to a world,
who had better to do than to keep track of what the anquished had left behind them. On New Avalon, factories were tasked with producing as many new RACs as possible, both RACs 2 & 5. But if the latter is mounted on numerous chassis, the former is much less liked, and is used only on the B config of the Templar, a mech that was at the time unavailable to the Loyalists who had produced the RACs 2. At the end of the war, Allied Forces found the weapons cache and decided to make use of it. Several chassis were considerd among which the Enforcer III a traditionnal workhorse of the AFFS. Removing the UAC 10 freed enough weight and space to upgrade the ER Large Laser to a Large Pulse, and to mount a brand new Targeting Computer.
Capabilities
The Enforcer III RAC (as the mechwarriors have called the officially named ENF-6M), retains the Enforcer's traditional role of a well armored, mobile, medium range brawler. Equipped with 11 double heatsinks it can dissipate the heat of an alpha strike even if it jumped the 150 meters its jets allow for. But the most frightening possibility is that at no loss in range, thanks to the Targeting Computer, the RAC 2 can pour all of its pellets into the same place, breaching a previously damaged location. Under 300 meters range, the Sutel Large Pulse laser can add its ultra precise power to the devastation, spelling an immediate death for all light mechs and even a good part of the medium machines.
Deployment
The ENF 6M are still rare within the AFFS, although a program has been started to upgrade former Enforcers III. It can be found mainly in well trained, highly mobile units such as the 1st FS armored Cavalry, or dedicated Urban brawlers like the 4th Crucis Lancers.
